VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. This is a technology that allows a person to use a high-speed internet connection to make phone calls. If you have no phone line and would like to explore VoIP as an option, just let our agent know before making an order.

VoIP is simply; you have to plug the no phone line/VoIP medical alert system into a power supply and that’s it—you are ready to go. Prime Medical Alert uses the best technology possible and is able to provide a superior product-service match to our customers.

If you don’t have Internet or a phone line, we can still accommodate your needs. We have completely cellular devices that work inside or outside of the home. The good news is that our cellular devices work off of both T-Mobile and AT&T. This means that whether you are in a T-Mobile or an AT&T service area, your emergency system will work. Since it is sending the information over the phone line in both data and voice format, no matter how weak the signal is (there is an initial test required to make sure a signal does exist), we can get the secure account data and be notified that there is an emergency going on.

As soon as the user presses the no phone line/VoIP medical alert system, they are connected to one of our certified operators. These operators then dispatch the appropriate authorities. Once the system is connected to our central monitoring station, the user is able to talk back and forth with the operator to communicate their situation. The dispatch depends entirely on what the user is able to communicate. They can request emergency contacts, the ambulance, fire department, or the police department. If there is no answer from the user, our agents disconnect from the no phone line/VoIP medical alert system and attempt to call the alternate line the user provides us at signup. After this, we can both directly dispatch and call emergency contacts, or call emergency contacts first and then dispatch. All of these instructions are completely customizable, which you can decide when you order a device that fits your needs.

Each new medical alert system comes with a complimentary lockbox. The lockbox securely holds a key for easy access to the house in the event of an emergency. Upon dispatch, we provide the first responders with the combination and location of the lockbox. As soon as they get to the house, they are able to find the lockbox and retrieve the key. This provides for very quick access without having to knock down a door or break a window. Additionally, the emergency responders put the key back in the box after the emergency situation is resolved. If the client has to go to the hospital, they don’t have to worry about a missing door or window on their house.
