A lot of people have the preconception that medical alert systems are for the elderly and those who are barely able to manage on their own. This is not true. After age 65, a medical alarm device is good idea for those living alone. The necklaces and bracelets weigh hardly anything and in most cases are not noticeable. However, they are there when you need them. If ever something happens, simply press the button and get help. Those that receive help within minutes are much more likely to recover than those that are stranded for hours and even days. I quite often hear of people getting medical alert systems after the fact. Proactivity is always a good thing and especially when it deals with your health and well being. For much less than a dollar a day ayone can be protected!
