Many people come to us looking for the best alert system for seniors. The first thing we ask at Prime is what type of system are you looking for and what type of range is necessary? Do you go out of the house alone or do you primarily need an in the home system? Also, what is the budget you are trying to work with? Depending upon all of these questions, we can probably point  you in the right direction.

When looking at our systems, they start at 18.95/month and go from there. That includes the most basic system and comes with a bracelet or necklace, a main unit, and a lockbox for easy access by the first responders. Our more advanced systems include the ability to speak directly through the necklace or bracelet.

If you are looking for a cellular add-on, we can include that as well. Most of our clients go out with another person and therefore aren’t interested in a full on cellular system because of needing to charge the device and it not being water resistant. Therefore it might not be the best alert system for seniors. We do have low maintenance cellular add-ons that can hold a charge for many years at a time. For people that aren’t familiar with technology or can’t take the risk of their senior alert system not being uncharged, this is the device for them.

When looking at the best alert systems for seniors, make sure the necklace and bracelets are water resistant. They should be wearable in the shower, while taking a bath, washing the dishes, gardening or any other water activities. Additionally, you want to make sure that there are high quality operators backing the high quality equipment. Some services skip on the quality of the operators and use standard call center representatives, or even worse, outsource the call centers. All of Prime’s call centers use certified EMTs along with being UL certified. When they receive the emergency call, they first attempt to speak with the client. Depending upon what the client says, they can dispatch directly, call the ambulance, fire department, police department, or notify friends, family and neighbors.

If there is no response, we follow the predesignated plan of action which can include hanging up and calling the client on their home phone, a direct dispatch, calling emergency contacts and then dispatching, or a combination of all.

All of our systems include a free lockbox which goes on a permanent fixture to securely hold a key. Upon dispatch, we provide the combination to the first responders for easy home access. In this manner, the emergency authorities will not have to break a door or window down and lock the place back up in the event a hospital trip is necessary.

There are no contracts attached to any of our service programs and the clients can try them risk free. If you are unsatisfied with the system, simply put the system back in the original packing and send it back to us and you will receive a complete refund.
