People are coming back for the winter but in Arizona (especially the Phoenix Metro), it is still 110 degrees outside. Up north (in Prescott, Payson, and Flagstaff), it is starting to seem like fall but here, it has not cooled down a bit. That’s why even though August is almost over, it is important to treat it like summer and stay hydrated. Many of our medical alert clients are moving back into the state and it’s important to remember to change your address back. All of our systems can tell which number is dialing as a verification system but with today’s technology and ability to move numbers from state to state, the location/identifiers are no longer relevant. We have to go by the last updated address for this reason. With our systems changes in address, health information and anything else pertinent can be changed without charge.

Additionally, another important thing to consider is make sure you brought your lockbox with you. Many of our clients have been locked out in the heat but have been able to simply press their button, speak to an operator and retrieve the key. This is really important especially considering the temperature. Heat exhaustion and dehydration can happen really quickly and therefore it is important to have a backup plan. Dehydration and heat exhaustion can affect anyone at any age but is especially devastating to people that are elderly and infirm.
