Installation Guide - Medipendant

The first step is to open up your Medipendant box. Inside is a detailed guide on how the product works along with a simple 10 step setup guide. | |

You will need to take the power cord (the left most object), the phone cord (the right most object) and the medipendant base (the center object) out of the box. | |

Now it is time to decide on a location. Larger homes should choose a centrally located area. Make sure the location has access to a power outlet along with a wall jack for phone cord insertion. |

If there is an existing phone on the wall jack, simply unplug the phone. This phone will be plugged into the back of the medical alarm unit, and will continue to function as usual. This goes for any type of device such as an answering machine, caller identification box, blood pressure monitor, etc... |

This is a close up of the back of the base unit. The power cord plugs into the hole marked "DC", the phone cord to the wall jack plugs into the "Phone Line In" hole an the phone plugs into the "Extra Phone Jack." |

Plug the power cord into the hole marked "DC." |

Now plug the power cord into the wall outlet. Make sure the outlet has a steady stream of power and is not controlled by a switch. |

Plug the phone line that came with the Medipendant into the wall jack. |

Take the other end of the phone line plugged into the wall jack and connect it in the yellow hole marked "Phone Line In." |

Now plug whatever was plugged into the wall jack before into the hole marked "Extra Phone Jack." If there was nothing occupying the wall jack before, skip this step. |

Your setup is now complete. If there are any problems with power or phone line connectivity, the system will verbally alert you. If the light is green on the front of the unit, everything is good to go! |
