Medipendant - A Medical Alert Pendant
The Medipendant is the first fully monitored medical alert/alarm system that the user can actually speak into the necklace. With most standard medical alert systems, the user speaks into a centrally located base station but with the Medipendant you have both options; you can even use it to answer the phone remotely.
If it is important to speak directly to an EMT certified emergency operator over your necklace/bracelet, then the Medipendant may be your first choice. Similar to all of our other devices we offer, Certified EMT emergency operators handle any incoming emergency calls.
The Medipendant greatly faclitates the client in distress because the operator is able to directly communicate to the client. Many of our hearing impair clients choose this device because the speaker is clear and extremely close by.
These are some questions that may help you decide whether the Medipendant is your first choice:
Do I want to be able to speak and listen directly through the pendant?
Do I spend time outside? Can I speak to the operator from outside my home?
If I am showering or bathing with the door close, will it be possible for the operator to hear me?
Do the call center operators have EMT (emergency medical technician) certification?
Will the call center operators stay on the line with me for as long as I need them (all of our systems offer this option)?
