Fall Detection & the AmberSelect

The AmberSelect is our high end personal emergency response system (PERS) which allows our users to maintain their independent lifestyle. It is a singly comprehensive solution to those wishing to live on their own and is ideal for seniors and those who are disable and/or at risk for falling. Included with the fall detection is a built-in inactivity monitor which alerts our operators if the client is inactive for a certain period of time (usually 8-12 hours depending upon the client). The AmberSelect includes a sleek, easy to wear necklace or bracelet (it can be changed back and forth), and an optional Fall Detection pendant.

It has 16 customizable fully monitored reminders. If the client does not hit the check mark on the unit to let us know they have completed the daily task (can be a reminder to take medications, do daily chores, or simply a way to check in) an operator calls the client and if they cannot reach the client, they notify the emergency contacts provided. 

The necklace/bracelet can be used to answer the phone remotely. Instead of rushing over to the phone and increasing the risk of an accident, the client can simply press their necklace or bracelet and answer the incoming call. They can speak to them from across the room or even in another room with the highly sensitive built-in speaker. 

Also included are anti-failure protection features which notify the client if there are low batteries in the necklace/bracelet. We replace the necklace and bracelet batteries free of charge (they last approximately 4-5 years). Additionally if the power fails, there is a minimum 24 hour battery backup included (it will continue to work through a power outage). With both the necklace and bracelet batteries and the actual system batteries, an alert is sent to our EMT certified operators. The operators then notify the client and any emergency contacts (if necessary or requested in the initial setup).
